I loved this Homily. I would liked to have heard one thing differently. I "think" I heard Fr. Jones say, at around 12 minutes, "I" can forgive sins. I personally feel that this is where other religions do not understand the Catholic Religion. I would have loved to hear him say, "through the power of The Holy Spirit, I can forgive sins." Thank you for the work of Fr.Jones and every one else that makes this pod cast available. I will pray for all of you!!!

This has moved me to action in avery concrete way. I realize I have gotten complacent on "cutting off" a temptation of my eyse and will take a step now to correct it with the help of two solid Catholic brothers.

Fr. Ricardo's literal interpration of the "loaves and fishes" and other gospel readings does not ispire me. He emphasizes the "vertical" realtionship with God (wonderment, awe) instead of love, understanding, embracemnt of the underpriveleged and poor, forgiveness, acceptance, etc.

Content is good. Father's delivery is poor -- it rambles at times, has irritating pauses while he is aparently flipping pages on a bible. None of that fits a podcast.

I was glad that Father talked about Divine Mercy. I didn't know that the Latin root meant 'gift.' This fits in with the contrast between mercy and justice - justice is what we deserve, and mercy is a gift beyond beyond justice. I haven't connected mercy with fear and guilt before:I'll ponder that.
