Father Richard S. Jones was ordained a priest for the Church of Pittsburgh on May 21, 1988, by Bishop Donald W. Wuerl.
Born in Pittsburgh, his father- Presbyterian, and mother, Catholic raised seven children in the Catholic faith. He grew up in the Greentree area of Pittsburgh where he attended SS Simon and Jude Parish.
After receiving his undergraduate degree in Philosophy from Duquesne University, he entered Mount Saint Mary Seminary in Emmitsburg, Md, where he received a Masters in Systematic Theology. He served in various parishes in the Pittsburgh area, as well as UPMC Hospitals, where he served as Chaplain.
Growing up with strong family ties, in a household where two brothers became medical doctors, and one sister a dean of a medical school, Father Rich believes strongly in mind, body, and spiritual well being.
He is currently serving as Administrator at Saint Joseph Parish in Coraopolis, Pa.
